Filmmaker Homi Adjania is currently gearing up for his upcoming series Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo. It is a story that redefines the conventional or stereotypical saas – bahu relationship that you used to see on television. The story revolves around a mother-in-law who is unapologetically hardcore, daughter-in-law who is steadfast and formidable and a daughter that challenges all norms of patriarchy. The series features Dimple Kapadia and Radhika Madan.

Bollywood actress Radhika Madan, who earlier used to do TV serials had initially collaborated with Homi Adajania Angrezi Medium featuring alongside Imran Khan and now the actress is all set for her upcoming series with Adajania’s Saas Bahu aur Flamingo. Recounting her journey, Radhika Madan said, “Collaborating with Homi has always been an exciting and enriching experience, I feel honoured and grateful for the opportunities he has presented me with. The journey from Tarika in Angrezi Medium to now Shanta in Saas Bahu and Flamingo undoubtedly has been a personal growth for me. In fact, it is a running joke between Homi and me that Tarika’s has now grown into a woman, which in deep introspection does feel true for me as an actor as well as a person.”
Earlier, speaking about the show, Dimple Kapadia had told exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, “Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo is a story of what makes ordinary people extraordinary in a world full of passion and chaos. It’s a bunch of bad-ass women telling a narrative, which is often played only by male characters and believe me, it’s got some of the most colourful characters you’ll ever see. The show is as wild as my crazy director Homi Adajania’s mind. He has flipped a family drama on its head.”
Produced by Maddock Films, the series is directed by the Homi Adajania and stars Dimple Kapadia, Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar and Isha Talwar in pivotal roles along with Ashish Verma, Varun Mitra, Udit Arora, Deepak Dobriyal and Monica Dogra amongst others. Saas Bahu aur Flamingo releases on May 5, 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar.
