Sara Ali Khan has never shied away from expressing her deep love and admiration for her mother, Amrita Singh. Time and again, the actress, in her latest interview, spoke about her special bond with her mother and how she’s scared to ‘visualise life’ without her mother Amrita. Not only this, but Sara also recalled one piece of advice her father and actor Saif Ali Khan gave her when she became an actor.

It all happened during her conversation with News18, where Sara asserted, “Visualising life without mom to any degree is what scares me the most. Most often the one thing that I can definitely rely on is that mom is the reason to wake up. On most days, that’s it, that’s the reason. I can’t have that.”

As the interview progressed further, the portal asked the Kedarnath actress if her father has given her any tips on acting. In her response, she opened up on how he’s told her to always read her own scripts and then decide whether she wants to do a particular film or not. She quoted saying, “My father doesn’t read my scripts or help me pick them. He has told me, ‘As an actor, if you’re reading a script and feel at the end of it that you want to do it, then do it.’ Kisi aur ko padha ke kya hi milega (what will you get by making others read your script)! Other people have their own convictions and guts but I’ve my own.”

Coming to the professional front, the 27-year-old actress has been grabbing headlines lately for her film Gaslight, which was released on Disney+ Hotstar on March 31. She will be next seen in Laxman Utekar’s untitled film with Vicky Kaushal. She is currently shooting for Homi Adajania’s Murder Mubarak. Besides these projects, Sara also has Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino with Aditya Roy Kapur and Kannan Iyer’s Ae Watan Mere Watan.
